Lower Mission in Kelowna, British Columbia is home to two of the city’s most popular beaches, Gyro Beach and Rotary Beach. The Lower Mission is also the location of the Pandosy Mission, which was the original home of Father Pandosy, who established the first European settlement in the area in 1859. The mission has since been restored as a museum and is jointly administered by the Okanagan Historical Society and the Catholic Church. The area around the mission is now known as the Okanagan Mission neighborhood.
